Altan charged with cash theft from SL Casey’s

At 1:38 p.m. Wednesday the Storm Lake Police were called to Casey’s Central because of a possible employee theft.

Police were told that on Nov. 3 and again on Nov. 26 a store employee allegedly stole cash from the store’s safe totaling $200.

Police arrested Devin Bravo, 21, of Alta in connection with the thefts.

Bravo was charged with two counts of theft and booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $600 bond.         


Man found on floor of apartment, later arrested

On Sunday morning at 9:36 a.m. police were sent to 510 East Sixth St. because of a person lying in the hallway of the second floor apartment complex.

Police located the person and identified him as Marco Monsivais, 21, of Storm Lake.

Police say that Monsivais was intoxicated and must have entered the building during the early morning hours and passed out in the hallway.

Police arrested Monsivais and booked him on a $2,000 bond. It was his third offense.


Wanted man jailed

On Monday at 9:29 p.m. a Storm Lake Police Officer on patrol conducted a pedestrian check on a person near the intersection of Lake Avenue and 12th Street.

Police identified the pedestrian as Vincent Nichols, 22, of Storm Lake.

Police were told that Nichols was wanted out of Ida County on two warrants charging him with contempt of court because of an assault and possession of alcohol.

Police arrested Nichols and booked him in the Buena Vista County Jail on a $600 bond.
