BVU starts baseball season by dropping 3 games to Washington

Washington University scored eight unanswered runs after Buena Vista jumped out to a 1-0 lead and the Bears handed the Beavers an 8-3 loss in the final game of the three-game series on Sunday in St. Louis.

The Beavers scored an unearned run in the third to score the game’s first run in the third. The Bears then scored five runs on three hits in the fifth to take the lead for good before adding three more runs in the seventh.

BVU did plate two late runs in the ninth on an RBI single from Tyler Tennyson and a throwing error by the Bears.
