Darlene Snyder

Darlene F. Snyder, 84, of Storm Lake died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018 at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 3, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Burial followed in Storm Lake Cemetery. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of the arrangements.

Darlene Francis Moritz was born Nov. 1, 1933 in Storm Lake, the daughter of Andrew and Margaret (Grienke) Moritz.

In her youth, she was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake.

Darlene attended St. Mary’s Catholic School.

On June 5, 1976, Darlene was united in marriage to Ray Snyder at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Together, they were blessed with one son, Michael.

Darlene enjoyed cooking, fishing and caring for her cats. Most of all, Darlene liked spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ray Snyder of Storm Lake; son, Michael (Noreen) Erickson of Storm Lake; granddaughter: Dawn (Pat) Kruger of Ogden; great-grandchildren: Dameyon, Layton, Serenity, Alexis and Adalyn Kruger; brother, Bob Moritz of Boone; sister, Nancy (Fred Hall) Peters of Storm Lake; many nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Darlene was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Moritz; mother and step-father, Margaret Moritz Anderson and Joseph F. Anderson; brother, Curt (Lois) Moritz; and sister-in-law, Betty Moritz.
