Court Report

Alta man ruled competent

An Alta man who stole and traded a boat for a Dodge Durango is expected to be sentenced in April after District Judge Don Courtney ruled he was restored to competency.

Court records show Alta resident Kyle Klink is scheduled for a sentencing hearing April 9 for a burglary charge. In October, District Judge John Duffy found Klink was incompetent to stand trial because he was suffering from a mental disorder. Klink was ordered to receive mental treatment until he could be restored to competency.
