SM upends Remsen SM to snap 10-game skid

Lizzie Lenhart scored a game-high 21 points and added 10 rebounds and two assists as Storm Lake St. Mary’s snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 40-34 win over Remsen St. Mary’s in a nonconference game on Monday at St. Mary’s.

Remsen St. Mary’s led 11-8 after the first quarter. The Hawks owned a 16-8 lead with 3 minutes to play in the first half, but the Panthers went on a 9-0 run to lead 17-16 at halftime. It was 25-24 Panthers heading into the fourth period of play.

Olivia Schaller contributed 10 points for the Panthers. Kallie Goettsch scored five and Abby Jones four.
