SM boys can’t hold lead against PAC

Storm Lake St. Mary’s jumped out to a 22-10 lead after the first quarter, but the Panthers couldn’t hold it as Pocahontas Area rallied for a 65-51 win in a Twin Lakes Conference game last Friday at Pomeroy.

The Panthers managed to take a 36-27 lead at halftime, but the Indians took a 45-44 lead into the fourth quarter.

Chakouthchok Malou led the Panthers with 19 points. Jake Heitman added 14 and Will Hurd nine.

Alex Merten contributed four points. Dawson Miller and Cale Murray each had two, and Sam Peters had one.
