New watershed coordinator

Marius Agua is excited to serve as the Raccoon River Management Authority’s watershed coordinator.

Agua was named watershed coordinator Oct. 27 after the authority’s board voted for his hiring. Engineer Bret Wilkinson introduced Agua to the board of supervisors Tuesday.

Agua received his PhD from Wageningen Agricultural University and did post-doctoral work at Iowa State University in agricultural engineering. He has served as a math professor in Filipino universities and an environmental planner in both the U.S. and the Philippines.
