Ruben Mendoza
runs the pool hall on the town square in Santa Rita. Many
people from town come to the square every evening to visit. No
women were seen in the pool hall. “Too many Mexican
people are in Storm Lake and Denison, but there are no
jobs,” Mendoza said. “They should be here.”
