Tornadoes entertain old rival Spencer
BY JAMIE KNAPP
Trust and discipline.
Those will be the two biggest words for Storm Lake’s football team when it squares off with rival Spencer tonight.
While the Tornado defense faced challenges in the secondary with Spirit Lake’s passing game last week, this week will be an entirely different challenge as the Tigers bring their vaunted triple option attack to Tornado Stadium.

Last week’s come-from-behind win over preseason conference favorite Dubuque was one of the greatest in some time.
But it was a costly win as four key players left the game with injuries.
That adversity will follow the Beavers on Saturday when they travel to St. Louis to take on Washington University.
“I am concerned about our depth heading on the road,” Buena Vista coach Grant Mollring said. “We are banged up on offense and will need guys to step up to have success moving the ball.”
