T.J. Walter went 4-for-4 and drove in two runs, and Logan McCoy struck out 13 batters as Alta-Aurelia beat OA-BCIG 12-2 in a nonconference game on Tuesday at Alta.
Walter had two doubles and two singles for the Warriors. Kaleb Sleezer went 3-for-4 with a single, a double, a triple and 3 RBI.

Olivia Larsen collected three hits and scored three runs to lead a 13-hit attack as Newell-Fonda, ranked No. 11 in Class 1A, beat Ridge View 12-7 in a nonconference game on Tuesday at Galva.
The Mustangs scored two runs in the first inning, four in the third, two in the fourth, one in the fifth and three in the sixth.
Megan Morenz, Ellie Lago and Bailey Sievers all had two hits apiece for Newell-Fonda. Ella Larsen hit a two-run home run and scored three runs.
Lago drove in three runs, as did Morenz. Macy Sievers scored a pair of runs. Emma Stewart added a double.

Storm Lake scored eight runs in the top of the second inning to build a 9-2 lead, but the Tornadoes couldn’t hold it as Spirit Lake rallied with three runs in the third inning and eight in the sixth to take the lead en route to a 14-9 win in a Lakes Conference game on Wednesday at Spirit Lake.
The Indians also plated a run in the fourth inning, scoring 12 unanswered runs in the final five innings.
Storm Lake (5-7) had seven hits in the game. Briana Soto and Rachel Bozonie each had two. Soto hit a grand slam home run and Bozonie had a two-run double.

Sioux Central was held to four hits as Emmetsburg handed the Rebels a 4-2 setback in a Twin Lakes Conference game on Monday at Emmetsburg.
The Rebels scored both of their runs in the first inning.
Sydney Sundblad and Kennedy Hatch each drove in a run with a double for Sioux Central. Kally Fahnlander and Zamara Geisinger each singled.
McKenzie Coffee took the loss. She gave up six hits and three earned runs, walked one and struck out two over six innings.

Jessica Larson singled to score courtesy runner Angela Lopez with the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning as Class 2A No. 5-ranked Alta-Aurelia survived an upset bid from OA-BCIG with a 2-1 win in a nonconference game on Tuesday at Alta.
Abby Kraemer singled in the eighth. Lopez ran for her and was advanced to second on a single by Rowan Kolpin. Larson drove Lopez in with a two-strike single.
Alta-Aurelia had seven hits in the game. Kraemer and Larson each had two. Kraemer had an RBI single in the fifth inning to make it a 1-0 game.

Abby Kraemer pitched a perfect game and four players had two hits apiece as Alta-Aurelia, ranked fifth in Class 2A, defeated South Central Calhoun 12-0 in a Twin Lakes Conference game on Monday at Alta.
The Warriors scored four runs in the first inning, one in the second and seven more in the fourth.
Kraemer allowed no hits, walked none and struck out 11 batters over four innings.

Maggie Walker went 4-for-4 and drove in three runs, and Olivia Larsen scattered six hits as No. 11-ranked Newell-Fonda cruised past East Sac County 15-3 in a Twin Lakes Conference game on Monday at Wall Lake.
The Mustangs scored three runs in the first inning, four in the second, two in the third and six in the fifth.
Newell-Fonda collected a season-high 20 hits in the game. Walker had three singles and a triple to lead the way.
