Jon Neiderbach is driving around Northwest Iowa by himself campaigning for a position most people do not know about, the Iowa State Auditor.
Neiderbach is running against a person many people may also not know about, Mary Mosiman, the previously appointed auditor.

Hatch claims to finish project in 4 years if elected
Iowa governor candidates Democratic State Sen. Jack Hatch and Republican Gov. Terry Branstad agreed Tuesday night that finishing the expansion of Hwy. 20 across Northwest Iowa should be a priority in the next four years.

Republican King leads with 51%, Mowrer at 38%
U.S. Rep. Steve King continues to lead over his Democratic opponent Jim Mowrer by double digits.
King leads Mowrer by 13 points, 51% to 38%, according to the internal poll conducted on behalf of Steve King for Congress.

Storm Lakers Shannon and Angie Sundine of Iowa Wild Hogs BBQ captured their second grand champion trophy of the year last weekend at the WinnaVegas Rib Master Classic in Sloan.
The couple placed first in chicken, second in ribs, tenth in pork and eighth in brisket, as well as over-all grand champion among 30 competitors.
An award of $2,950 accompanied the win.

Maurice Wittrock, the Storm Lake man who died with the Iowa State Treausry holding $2.3 million of his assets that he refused to claim, leaves his estate to the heirs of two sisters in a probate filing Oct. 6 in Buena Vista County District Court.
