Thank you to BV County Community Foundation

The City of Alta Park Board received a grant from the Buena Vista County Community Foundation in the spring of 2017. The grant, in the amount of $2,550, was used to purchase 57 sections of an 80-foot fence topper. The Alta Ballfield Sign Committee also helped finance the fence topper.  In April, the Alta-Aurelia High School students attached the fence topper to the fences. They were a major help, and we couldn’t have done it without them!

The main purpose of the fence topper is to provide safety so that athletes don’t catch their arm or jersey on the top of the fence. This project has been talked about for years, but it took some planning and a few years of saving for the finances to be available.

The Alta Park Board, along with the Alta Ballfield Sign Committee would like to thank the Buena Vista County Community Foundation, along with the Alta-Aurelia HS students, for making this project a reality!
