Pocahontas too much for SM girls

Pocahontas Area jumped out to a 15-6 lead after the first quarter and the Indians never looked back as they defeated Storm Lake St. Mary’s 72-29 in a Twin Lakes Conference game last Friday at Pomeroy.

Pocahontas Area led 31-13 at halftime and 52-26 heading into the fourth quarter. The Indians outscored the Panthers 20-3 in the final 8 minutes.

Lizzie Lenhart scored 13 points to lead St. Mary’s. Abby Jones added nine, Kallie Goettsch four and Olivia Schaller three.
