SL boys play best game of season in win over Carroll

Just one day after having one of its worst practices of the season, Storm Lake played its best game of the year.

The Tornadoes responded after a lackadaisical practice on Monday with a resounding effort on Tuesday, scoring 46 first-half points en route to a 76-63 win over Carroll in a nonconference game at Carroll.

The Tornadoes, now 9-3, jumped out to a 20-14 lead after the first quarter. They extended the lead to 46-31 by halftime and led 62-46 heading into the fourth period of play.
