Newell-Fonda pressure defense takes its toll on St. Edmond

Newell-Fonda wasted little time setting the tone.

The fourth-ranked Mustangs scored 20 points in the first quarter before adding 25 more in the second to build an insurrmountable early lead as they routed Fort Dodge St. Edmond 67-22 in a nonconference game on Tuesday night at Newell.

The Mustangs, now 11-0, led 20-5 after the first quarter, 45-19 at halftime and 60-20 heading into the fourth.
