Witter Gallery presents Jason Braunschweig photography

Work by Newell landscape photographer Jason Braunschweig is on exhibit at the Witter Gallery Jan. 2 - 27.

Jason picked up a camera in January 2017 and set out on a journey exploring intimate landscapes around Iowa.

He had always been interested in art and had been offered art scholarships had he gone to college for it, (his uncle is Alta-Aurelia art teacher Jerry Braunschweig) but such an education was out of his price range. So were digital cameras, at the time, he says.

He learned to use a camera with You Tube videos, and trial and error.
