Slow start hurts SM girls in defeat to SCC

South Central Calhoun outscored Storm Lake St. Mary’s 23-8 in the first quarter and the Titans were never threatened after that as they rolled to a 59-22 win in a Twin Lakes Conference game last Friday at St. Mary’s.

South Central Calhoun led 35-12 at halftime and 47-16 heading into the fourth.

Olivia Schaller scored 11 points to lead the Panthers. Lizzie Lenhart added seven, while Kallie Goettsch and Abby Jones each had two.

Jones led in rebounding with seven. Lenhart and Ariana Elsden each had six. Schaller and Goettsch each grabbed four.
