Newell-Fonda uses fast start to beat TLC rival Pocahontas Area

Four players scored in double figures and fourth-ranked Newell-Fonda began the game with a 17-0 run as the Mustangs cruised past Pocahontas Area 70-33 in a Twin Lakes Conference game last Friday at Newell.

The Mustangs, now 10-0, led 24-7 after the first quarter. It was 42-17 at halftime and 63-25 heading into the fourth quarter of play.

Camryn Wilken scored 13 points to lead the Mustangs. Jenna Coppock added 12, Ella Larsen 11 and Olivia Larsen 10.
