SM boys rally in fourth quarter falls short to Woodbury Central

Will Hurd finished with 13 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots, but it wasn’t enough as Woodbury Central held off a late rally by Storm Lake St. Mary’s to win 67-62 in  a nonconference game on Tuesday night in Moville.

Woodbury Central jumped out to a 17-11 lead after the first quarter and extended it to 34-25 by halftime. It was 47-33 Wildcats heading into the fourth period before the Panthers scored 29 fourth-quarter points to make it close.
