Kyle Hadley, local operator for the Dakota Access Pipeline spoke about the pipeline, the process for burying it, the operation of the pipeline and the safety measures built into it to minimize any possible spills from a pipeline rupture on Jan. 2. He mentioned the government requirement of an arial survey of the line and an internal survey of the line on a regular basis looking for any corrosion or abnormality in the line. This is accomplished by inserting an instrument into the line, then recovering it and analyzing the record.
