Kole Wiegert won all three of his matches by pin to help Storm Lake open its wrestling season with three dual wins last Thursday at Pocahontas.

The Tornadoes beat Pocahontas Area 47-30. Sumay Oh won his match by decision 7-3 at 120 pounds, while Alonzo Rios won by technical fall 16-0 at 138.

Manny Chavez pinned his opponent in 2:39 at 145, as did Wiegert in 1:28 at 152. Aaron Ungs won his match by pin in 32 seconds, as did Jorge Sandoval in 53 seconds at 285. Mickey Vasquez won by decision 5-1 at 220 pounds.
