St. Mary’s helps Samaritan’s Purse

Storm Lake St. Mary’s School packaged 123 shoeboxes as part of Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child project. The boxes were full of toys, school supplies and hygiene products for children in Third World countries. St. Mary’s Parish helped pay for the shipping of the boxes through a second collection. Over 10 years of the project, moderator Ryan Berg said the students have sent 1,682 boxes to help children around the world at Christmastime with this service project. Students at all grade levels participated in the assembling of the boxes and collecting the gifts.
