In a game where two teams combined to make 34 3-pointers, it was Buena Vista coming out on the short end of the shootout as Wisconsin-Stevens Point made 22 of them to hand the Beavers their first loss of the season 93-72 last Saturday at Siebens Fieldhouse.

The Beavers shot the ball efficiently, going 12 of 19 from long range, 16 of 18 from the free throw line and 51 percent overall, but couldn’t overcome the sharp-shooting long range effort by the Pointers. Stevens Point made 22 of 37 attempts from beyond the arc while making only 10 two-point field goals.
