The Buena Vista women’s basketball team tuned up for the regular season by hosting NAIA No. 10 Morningside in an exhibition game last Saturday. The Mustangs broke the game open late in the first half and cruised to a 95-56 win.

Morningside made 19 of 34 3-point baskets on just 32 made field goals. The Mustangs also went 12 of 13 from the free throw line.

Buena Vista started the game strong shooting-wise, but cooled off in the second half as it finished the game at 30 percent from the field, including just 5 of 25 from 3-point and only 9 of 14 at the free throw line.
