The Buena Vista men’s basketball team played its final tune-up before tipping off its regular season by handing Morningside College its first loss of the season with a 100-91 victory last Saturday at Siebens Fieldhouse. It was an exhibition game for BVU.

There were 3-point attempts flying all around with the two teams combining to go 23-of-56 from long range.  Billy Sparks had the Beavers rolling early as he made four of his first six attempts from 3-point and had 17 points at halftime. He missed all of last season due to an injury.
