Mustangs top Harris-Lake Park, 20-7

Defense wins championships. It also clinches playoff berths, too.

No. 5-ranked Newell-Fonda held No. 6-ranked Harris-Lake Park to just 94 yards of total offense as the Mustangs qualified for the state playoffs with a 20-7 win last Friday at Newell.

Newell-Fonda is now 4-1 in the district and 6-1 overall and clinched at least second place. Remsen St. Mary’s is in first place at 5-0 and 7-0.
