Great Directors Film at Storm Lake Library

Storm Lake Library’s monthly Monday matinee will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 9. 

This month's selection was directed by Arthur Penn and stars Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty as real life criminals Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow.  Parker and Barrow, along with fellow gang members, went on an infamous cross-country crime spree during the Great Depression. 

The 1967 film was nominated for eight Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director.  Estelle Parsons took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Blanche Barrow.
