BVU shines in home opener, tops Grinnell for fourth straight victory

Jade Schaap had a match-high 29 kills while Ali Grein followed with 12 to help Buena Vista to a 3-1 win over Grinnell College during Tuesday’s home opener.

Schaap finished with 73 total attempts and set a school record for kills in a four-set match. Her total was just one off her single-match career-high set as a freshman.

Schaap and Grein each finished the match with an attack percentage over .300 as the team posted a .231 mark.  Jamie Navinskey had seven kills and 12 digs.
