Newell-Fonda too much for Glidden-Ralston in 8-man play

Newell-Fonda christened its new football field with big plays.

The Mustangs, ranked fifth in 8-man, had four touchdowns of 50 yards or more as they raced to a 49-6 win over Glidden-Ralston last Friday in Newell.

Newell-Fonda was playing its first game on a new football/track facility.

The Mustangs got a 69-yard touchdown run from Jesse Haack, a 50-yard touchdown pass from Cody Holtgrewe to Nate Pedersen, a  53-yard punt return TD from Austin Gerdes and a 64-yard kickoff return touchdown from Gerdes.
