St. Mary’s receives Monsanto grant

Employees from Storm Lake recommended St. Mary’s School to receive a $5,000 grant from the Monsanto Fund’s 2017 site grant initiative. Funds from the grant will be used to help fund the school’s Then Feed Just One program to package meals for the world’s hungry next year. Last year the school packaged over 100,000 meals that were trucked to Honduras to feed the world’s poorest families. Students, faculty, staff and community members worked side by side to purchase the raw materials and package the food for the project.
