RV drops third-place game in WV tourney

Ridge View was held scoreless for the first five innings before finally getting on the scoreboard, but it was too late as Kingsley-Pierson handed the Raptors a 7-2 defeat in the third-place game of the Western Valley Conference Tournament on Wednesday at Moville.

The Panthers scored a run in the first inning, two in the third, one in the fourth and three in the sixth to build a     7-0 lead.

Ridge View had five hits in the game, including two by Jake Mitchell. Jaxon Franken singled and drove in a run. Tyler Wingert singled and Austin Degen doubled.
