Storm Lake Times editor Art Cullen was featured in the May 31 edition of the Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun for winning the Pulitzer Prize in editorial writing.

This paper has a circulation of 7.96 million for its morning edition and 3.1 million for its evening edition making it Japan’s second largest newspaper. It was founded in 1879.

Satoshi Ukai of the New York Bureau of Asahi Shimbune visited Storm Lake and asked many questions. Then after his article was published, he sent us a thank you note, an issue of the paper and his translation of his article (printed below).
