N-F uses two big innings to beat Sioux Central

Two big innings was all it took for Newell-Fonda.

The Mustangs scored five runs in the second inning and seven in the fourth to hand Sioux Central a 12-2 setback in a Twin Lakes Conference game on Tuesday at Fonda.

Newell-Fonda finished with 11 hits. Megan Morenz went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBI. Maggie Walker added two hits, two runs scored and three RBI.

Emily Archer contributed two hits and two RBI. Kate Christiansen doubled and scored two runs, while Olivia Larsen singled and drove in a run. Emma Stewart and Melanie Morenz each added a single.
