Alta-Aurelia gets past OA-BCIG in non-league game

Lily Peterson went 3-for-4 and drove in a run, and Abby Kraemer fired a one-hitter and struck out 14 batters as Alta-Aurelia, ranked 11th in Class 2A, won for the eighth time in a row with a 6-2 triumph over OA-BCIG on Tuesday at Ida Grove.

The Warriors totaled nine hits in the game. Peterson had two doubles and a single to lead the way. Jessica Flaherty, Rowan Kolpin and Alicia Turnquist each added a single and an RBI.

Morgan Jacobson singled and drove in two runs. Brittany Turnquist and Jessica Larson each singled.
