Hoops’ 3-hitter helps SL blank Emmetsburg

Brayden Hoops pitched the first shutout for Storm Lake in nearly four years as the Tornadoes beat Emmetsburg 5-0 in a Lakes Conference game last Friday at Tornado Field.

The last time Storm Lake shut out an opponent was June 24, 2013 when the Tornadoes beat Cherokee 6-0.

Hoops allowed only three hits while walking two and striking out 10 over seven innings.
