SL softball has tough day at WC Invitational

It was a tough day for the Storm Lake softball team as the Tornadoes played in the Woodbury Central Tournament last Saturday and dropped a pair of games.

Storm Lake was defeated by Woodbury Central 16-7. The Tornadoes scored five runs in the fourth inning.

The team had 10 hits in the game. Nora Seaman, Jaley Butler, Skylar Cole and Jessica Slight all had two hits apiece. Cole scored two runs and drove in two runs. Megan Martin singled and scored two runs.

Cole got the loss. She gave up 11 hits and 10 earned runs, walked four and struck out one in four innings.
