North Union scores 3 runs in bottom of 7th to beat Newell-Fonda

Maddie Rolling singled through a drawn-in infield to drive in the winning run and cap a three-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning as North Union got past No. 3-ranked Newell-Fonda 5-4 in a nonconference game on Tuesday at Swea City.

The first three North Union batters singled to start the seventh, and another batter eached on a fielding error before Rolling singled to end the game.

Newell-Fonda totaled 10 hits in the game, including three apiece by Olivia Larsen and Megan Morenz. Emily Archer added two hits. Larsen and Morenz each had an RBI.
