Big inning helps PAC down SM

Pocahontas Area/Laurens-Marathon plated five runs in the top of the fifth inning to pull away and spoil Storm Lake St. Mary’s home opener with a 10-2 win in a Twin Lakes Conference game on Wednesday.

The Indians totaled 12 hits in the game. Rylee Eisenbarth and Haley Beekman each collected three. They each scored two runs.

Destiny Heath drove in two runs with a single. Jocelyn Johnson and Payton Hjerleid each doubled, scored two runs, and drove in a run. Hannah Runneberg added an RBI single.
