Sioux Central boys finish second in South O’Brien Relays, A-A third

Levi Marcoux won the high jump and two relay teams were victorious to help Sioux Central to a second-place finish in the South O’Brien Relays last Thursday.

Unity Christian won the meet with 141 points. Sioux Central scored 106. Alta-Aurelia was third with 97 and Newell-Fonda sixth with 50.

In the field events, Alta-Aurelia’s Nick Gaes won the shot put with a throw of 45 feet, 1 inch. Sioux Central’s Carter Beckman was third in 41-4. Newell-Fonda’s Coltin Schachtner-Kramer and Jacob Carlson were fifth and sixth with throws of 40-9 and 39-10, respectively.
