Storm Lake’s Werge selected as Times Player of the Year

Storm Lake’s Josh Werge is the premier player in the

area. The first team all-Lakes selection averaged 17.8

points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals a game.

Josh Werge is the epitomy of what offseason work can do for you.

The Storm Lake senior was a marginal player last season, but after a summer of intense training and a commitment to becoming a better shooter, Werge exploded onto the scene this season.

He emerged from the shadows into one of the best players in the Lakes Conference, leading the Tornadoes to its best season since 2000. The guard led his team in scoring while ranking second in rebounding, assists and steals.
