Work is progressing on the interior in the new building at Storm Lake’s Buddhist Temple. Construction director Reno Kavan, although he belongs to St. John Lutheran Church, respects the Buddhist tradition. He enjoys working with the monk and other helpers who have created colorful concrete dragons outdoors and now the red and gold adornments inside this ceremonial building. This new structure will only be used for large gatherings that attract many Buddhists from out-of-town twice a year.
