On Saturday, Jan. 21, Buena Vista County 4-Hers and friends went to the TLC Canine Center in Newell.

This day was full of laughter and barking. The youth got to play and interact with the dogs and cat as a Martin Luther King Jr. Day Service Project. During the time spent at the shelter, 4-Hers learned about the shelter, facts about their canine, and learned about the terrible truths of puppy mills in Iowa.
