Leonard Keith Tuel, 80, of Schaller, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at his home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller. Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Schaller.
Leonard Keith Tuel was born March 3, 1936 in Milford, the son of Glenn and Veda (Overocker) Tuel.
Growing up, Leonard attended school in Milford where he graduated from the Milford High School in 1954.
Following high school graduation, Leonard was united in marriage to Lucille Feldhacker. Together, they were blessed with four children: Donald, Gary, Bradley and Karen. They were later divorced.
Leonard loved being outdoors, especially fishing and camping. In his spare time, he thoroughly took pleasure in watching sports. Leonard enjoyed having a good time with friends and going gambling. Family was important to Leonard and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Donald (Dolores) Tuel of Schaller; Bradley Tuel of Schaller; Karen (Vern) Mastny of Storm Lake; grandchildren: Angelic (Brent) Henningson; Junior (Blanca) Tuel; Javier Tuel (friend, Kelly Smith); Jackie (Justin) Wandrey; Brandon Monroe; great-grandchildren: Adam Spahr, Cheyenne Spahr, Dylan Henningson, Ashton Smith, Breckin Smith, Lyla Tuel, Jaden Tuel, Royce Tuel, Mya Henningson, Mazee Henningson, Ethan Wandrey, Brevin Monroe, Lane Wandrey and Jace Wandrey; extended family and friends.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Veda Tuel; son, Gary Tuel and brother, Francis (Virginia) Tuel.
