Second half spurt propels WC past Alta-Aurelia by 7

Woodbury Central outscored Alta-Aurelia 36-21 in the second half as the Wildcats came away with a 61-54 win in a nonconference game played on Monday night at Alta.

Alta-Aurelia held a 17-16 lead after the first quarter and led 30-28 at halftime, but the Wildcats used a 23-16 spurt in the third quarter to take a 51-46 lead into the fourth period of play.

Lily Peterson scored 15 points to lead Alta-Aurelia. Chloe Kruger and Erin Lockin each added nine and Laney Stanton had eight.
