Pipeline gets go-ahead

Dakota Access LLC, has received an easement from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to build a pipeline across federal land near Lake Oahe in North Dakota.

It is the final regulatory approval needed to construct a $3.8 billion pipeline across 1,172 miles of land in the Dakotas, Iowa and Illinois, including Buena Vista, Sac, Calhoun and O’Brien counties.

The release follows a directive from President Trump to to take all necessary steps to permit construction of the  pipeline.
