Larson’s career-high 37 lifts Newell-Fonda to easy win

Olivia Larsen poured in a career-high 37 points and also added nine rebounds and six assists to help Class 1A No. 6-ranked Newell-Fonda beat Fort Dodge St. Edmond 82-51 on Monday at Fort Dodge.

The Mustangs (17-3) trailed 16-15 after the first quarter, but took a 34-28 lead at halftime. A 29-12 surge in the third quarter gave the Mustangs a 63-40 lead heading into the fourth period.

Larsen made 16 of 24 field goals, including 5 of 8 from beyond the 3-point arc.
