Newell-Fonda uses big second half to win

Bryce Coppock poured in 25 points and Newell-Fonda outscored Manson Northwest Webster 33-19 in the second half to beat the Cougars 71-54 in a Twin Lakes Conference game last Thursday at Manson.

The Mustangs, now 7-10, led 18-17 after the first quarter. It was 38-35 Mustangs at halftime and 51-46 heading into the fourth period.

“It was a great road win for us,” Newell-Fonda coach Shad Coppock said. “All year long we have struggled going on the road, but lately we have really been improving on and eliminating the struggles that we have had when we leave our gym.”
