Wearing your baby

Faith Balo carries Gabe in a sling in front and daughter JoyAnna on her
back. Occasionally her husband Kenneth uses a baby carrier. “There’s
kind of a stigma for men,” says Faith. The long piece of fabric is a woven
wrap. It loops around her shoulders and waistline to form a carrier. Faith
has 10 carriers in different styles and fabrics. The most she’s has ever
spent on one is $120. She made another from a DIY pattern online.
