St. Mary’s suffers first loss of season at hands of Kingsley-Pierson, 64-52

Nathan Keck scored 25 points and Coby Fisher added 16 to help Kingsley-Pierson end Storm Lake St. Mary’s seven-game winning streak with a 64-52 win in a nonconference game last Thursday at Kingsley.

Kingsley-Pierson jumped out to a 19-9 lead after the first quarter. It was 32-23 at halftime and 50-32 heading into the fourth period.

St. Mary’s (7-1) pulled to within four points with under 3 minutes to play, but the Panthers could not get any closer.

Kingsley-Pierson shot 24 free throws compared to one for St. Mary’s.
