Fast start helps Alta-Aurelia girls beat Maple Valley

Freshman Chloe Kruger scored 16 points to lead three players in double figures and Alta-Aurelia jumped out to an 11-point lead after the first quarter as it beat Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto 53-20 on Tuesday at Mapleton.

The Warriors led 15-4 after the first quarter, 26-10 at halftime and 37-15 heading into the fourth period of play.

Mary Barnes scored 13 points for Alta. Aurelia, now  3-5. Lily Peterson added 10 and Erin Lockin nine. Laney Stanton scored three points and Sydney Stanton two.
